Why We Are Praying For Gov Fubara's Success ~Ogan
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Okrika local government area, Hon Princess Ibiene Ogan, today led thousands of women to a Monthly Women Prayer Meeting organised by her administration.
At the occasion, she stated that aside from praying for the peace, progress, and development of Okrika, they were also praying for the success of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
According to her, "We are here today to pray for the peace and progress of Okrika; we are also here to pray for the success of Governor Siminalayi Fubara because he means well for Rivers people.
"Governor Fubara is very supportive of Okrika people in particular and Rivers at large, and you can see it in the way and manner he has been governing the state. We are very proud of him.
"I am proud of our women who have come out today to pray for our land and our loving governor. They are the foundation of any society, and when women pray, you know that it will be answered by God."
Hon Ogan also used the occasion to commend President Bola Tinubu for donating grains to Okrika local government area through the Rivers State Government.
She declared that part of the grains would be shared amongst those present for the prayers, adding that it will go a long way in helping to fight economic hardship and hunger.
In her words of exhortation, Pastor Mrs Ene Secondus prayed for the land of Okrika and the governor of Rivers State.
She prophesied that the land will be blessed with numerous projects, appointments, and policies.
She stressed that Governor Fubara did not make a mistake in the appointment Hon Ibiene Ogan, adding that the CTC boss is the first woman in Okrika to have gathered such a large number of women under one roof.
Pastor Secondus praised Hon Ogan for her giant strides since being appointed as the CTC boss, pointing out that she has proven beyond doubts as to her ability to lead people for a united purpose.
The occasion had in attendance CTC members, council secretary, clergy, women, and youth leaders, among others.
