It serves as a day that history was made in the land of Bolo Kingdom as never before. The Palace of Bolo Luka was built by the administration of Hon. Barr. Vincent Nemieboka as Chairman of Ogu-Bolo Local Government Council. A well attended event by the Traditional Council, Bolo Se Council of Chiefs, Ogu-Bolo Council of Chiefs, Elders, the political class and the creme de'la creme of who is who in Ogu-Bolo and all walks of life troop to see the magnificently beautiful edifice built by a local government authority.
While dedicating the building, the Bishop of Diocese of Okrika, Rt. Rev'd. Enoch Atuboyedia, JP noted that the council chairman has marked a footprint on the sand of history and has gotten a niche of mutual respect amongst his contemporaries in the comity of local government chairman. The God's servant maintained that history will be fair to the chairman of Council and urged the chairman to uphold the scenario wherever he is called to serve.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Chairman of Ogu-Bolo Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Vincent Nemieboka thanked the King, Chiefs, and the people of Bolo Town for their magnanimity in providing the piece of land for the project, their support, and guiding against all forms distractions while the project lasted. The Chairman,
who doubled as the PRO of ALGON Rivers State, eulogised the people of Bolo for their peaceful co-existence and exhibition of character that is capable of attracting developmental strides to the community. Barr. Vincent is optimistic of better days ahead in Bolo Town and asked the people to maintain the tempo.
The peak of the event was the conferment of a Chieftancy title on the Council Chairman for the citing of the gigantic edifice which has given Bolo a face lift amidst several other projects the administration has embarked upon in the area.
Ofirima Watch correspondence, who was at the event, reported that the Chieftancy tilte was announced by the Monarch in Council HRH. King Acheseinimie Frank Micah, KSC. JP. Bolo Luka viii, as "AMA BELEMABO 1, OF BOLO KINGDOM." The chairman was decorated with Chieftancy regalia with traditional owoko dance and other traditional displays.
Thanking the Chairman of Council and his audience, the Amanyanabo of Bolo Kingdom, in a joyful mood, thank God for the presentation of Hon. Barr. Vincent Nemieboka at this particular time in history. The reverred monarch said others who will eventually occupy the position of Chairman in the local government will have serious challenges to beat the Legacies of Vincent Nemieboka. And thanked the chairman for a job well done in the entire LGA during the period under his administration.
In a chat with our correspondence, the secretary of council Hon. Dr. Tamuno Daniel Achori said he is a lucky fellow to have served under a visionary leader with a mindset to serve the people and fulfil the purpose of his call to serve. Dr. Achori thanked the people of Bolo Kingdom for their support all through the period the project was carried out.
Also speaking, a reverred academic, Dr. Gordon Tammy Amangabara thanked the Council Chairman for conceiving the idea of such a beautiful edifice and
completed it on record time and the eventual commissioning of the project. Dr. Amangabara said since the assumption of office of Hon.
Barr. Vincent Nemieboka he was optimistic of his carriage to serve and end well as a seasoned
administrator. He called on the people to protect the edifice from vandalism and urged for optimal maintenance.
