Okrika Council Boss sign 2024 appropriation budget into Law.

THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, OKRIKA LGA, HON. AKURO TOBIN DSSRS JP SIGNS 2024 BUDGET INTO LAW.
......assures swift implementation towards a robust financial and expenditure realization
The Executive Chairman, Okrika LGA, Hon. Akuro Tobin DSSRS JP, on Friday 12th January, 2024, assented to the 2024 appropriation bill of Four Billion, Five Hundred and Thirty Seven Million, Eight Hundred and Ninety Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty Naira, Sixty Eight Kobo only (N4,537,898,930.68).
Signing the approved 2024 budget into law, the Executive Chairman stated that the assentient betoken the appropriation of funds for the business of governance in Okrika LGA, sequel to the presentation of the budget proposal to the Legislative Assembly on the 20th December, 2023.
The Council Boss added that his administration through the instrumentality of the 2024 budget christened "BUDGET OF STABILIZATION", intends to improve investment in critical infrastructure with a view of putting Okrika LGA on the infrastructure map of the State, as it is guided by fixed strategic objectives.

The Executive Chairman was enthused and thanked the Leadership and councillors of the 7th Legislative Assembly on the expeditious consideration and accelerated approval of the 2024 budget, and reiterated his administration's readiness and preparedness to commence the 2024 budget implementation in earnest.

The Executive Chairman further enjoined the good people of Okrika LGA to remain optimistic as his administration is prognosticatory in putting Okrika LGA on the infrastructure map of Rivers State through the instrumentality of stabilization of the developmental trajectory in the LGA, as well as reducing poverty through sustained human capital development and empowerment, and strengthening of the existing peace and unity.

The Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul G. Abam who earlier presented the approved budget for the Chairman's assent, described it as frabjous and realistic budget that captures all critical sectors in the LGA.

The Leader on behalf of his colleagues appreciated the Executive Chairman for his exemplary leadership, his ability to navigate complex demanding issues that demands his disposition and his tireless efforts to the welfare and progress of the LGA, stressing that the councillors have enjoyed cordial working relationship with the Chairman since inception and will continue to support him as partners in progress, to the betterment of the LGA.
