Empowerment:Grp. Capt. John Ibiwari Ben-Kalio reach out to Widows, Elderly and People Living with Disabilities.
The train of empowering the Elders, Widows and People Living with Disabilities moved to George Ama, Ward 8, Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State. Powered by the former military administrator of Yobe State, HE. Grp. Capt. John Ibiwari Ben-Kalio, the programme was chaired by a former member of Rivers State House of Assembly Service Commission, Engr. Miyene Senibo.
In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Miyene Senibo thanked the donor for the gesture. He stressed the need for public spirited persons to emulate the kindness of the elder statesman by providing for the needy in society to add value to their lives and families. He opined that, society will be better if such gestures are carried out regularly.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman of APC in Okrika represented by Dagogo Amakiri, the leader of APC in Okrika, represented by Hon. Ibinabo Duke Fiberesima and the leader of Ward 8, Hon. Miebiaye Micah eulogised the elder statesman for his philanthropic and selfless service to humanity. They enjoined the beneficiaries to pray for the sustainance of the donor.
High point of the occasion was the launching of a pet project of His Excellency, Grp. Capt. John Ibiwari Ben-Kalio which he nicknamed "GOTV," "Getting Out The Voters."
Launching the outfit, the Chairman of the occassion, Engr. Miyene Senibo greeted the audience with the acronym as a slogan; Let's Go Out.... and Get The Voters. Miyene enjoined the yuletide audience to take the message to all nooks and crannies of the Ward, and called on the leadership to launch the project in all the wards and communities in Okrika, which according to him will transcend the entire Rivers State.
The pet project, GOTV, "Getting Out The Voters" is projected at reaching out to voters all over Rivers State....
