ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT:GRP. CAPT. JOHN IBIWARI BEN-KALIO PUT SMILES ON THE FACES OF THE NEEDY.
It was a in a joyous mood, Widows, Elderly and People Living with Disabilities smiled home with cash and other packages.
An event which took place in Ibaka Town, Ward seven(7) in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, was chaired by Hon. Peter Ibanichuka, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Rivers State House of Assembly, Okrika Constituency. 
In their separate speeches, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Ibanichuka, leader of the Ward, Hon. Tammy Datoru, Chairman of the Ward, Aya Ezekiah Theophilous, Dankiki Ayika and Hon. Christian Asifamaka thanked the facilitator of the Empowerment Programme for providing for the needy, especially at this time of serious economic downturn in the country, adding  that, the gesture has boosted the moral of the beneficiaries.
Thanking the donor, Elder. Grace Sam Orukorobo thanked the former Milad for remembering the Elderly, the Widows and those living with Disabilities at a very critical time as this. The Amaopusenibo prayed God to resuscitate his resources and enable him longevity of life.
The beneficiaries were full of life and smiles as they were handed their packages.

Government, Traditional Rulers agree to abolish indecent dressing in Okrika.

Sole Administrator, Okrika Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, agree to uphold the abolishing of indecent dressing within the ambit of the law in Okrika and environs. In a meeting conveyed by the Sole Administrator of Okrika Local Government Council, Isodiki Thompson, KSC, on the 14th of August, 2025, in the Council secretariat, the government and all four Traditional Rulers that formed the Okrika Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers has agreed to abolish indecent dressing in Okrika and environs, Ofiomina Watch news has learnt.
